Dorian Gray, a handsome, wealthy, and cultured young boy, meets the well-known artist Basil Hallward in London. Stunned by Dorian's beauty, Basil draws his portrait while showering him with several compliments. Dorian wishes he never grows old and instead wishes that his portrait bears all the scars of his old age. Alas, his wish comes true but at what cost? The once cultured boy engages in scandals, and we see him go from good to evil while his portrait begins to degrade.
